It’s scary how much petty theft seems to be going on lately. The old ‘R’ word seems to have upped people’s desperation and with it their willingness to rob each other blind. Rachel Stevens was mugged by some ‘thugs’ at her front door in London in the middle of the day yesterday. They accosted her shouting “Give us the f*cking stuff!” and made her hand over her engagement ring, a necklace and a rather pricey watch. Rachel is due to marry her fiance Alex Bourne in just a few weeks. She’s “shaken, but otherwise OK.”

Bad times.
