It has come to my attention this week that Men, in fact, detest Maxi Dresses! Who knew?! I heard rumblings of this and confirmed it with an actual, real-life boy. I won’t quote him exactly, but he did compare the garment to something a certain type of person who may or may not have gold teeth would wear. I was like: “Kelis wears Maxis?!” …Anywho, there is an interesting article on the fashion that men hate in the Daily Mail today *and I found myself thinking (<- *B and I are saying that about everything this week in an homage to/piss take of Carrie Bradshaw) what else do they hate?! So I’ve done my research and here it is ladies; the list of things we wear that men don’t like!!

UGGS: No sh*t Sherlock, you’re preaching to the converted here.

HAREM PANTS: As much as I have a couple pairs…you couldn’t really argue with this one, could you?!

JUMPSUITS: HOW VERY DARE YOU INSULT A STYLEBITCHES STAPLE!! You’re sleeping on the couch…that’ll learn ye.

GLADIATOR SANDALS: Aparently they make us look short and like our feet must hurt badly. Thank you Gok Wan, we’ll worry about that ourselves.

PINK!: I know, right? What’s wrong with pink now?? Now you’re just getting on me nerves!!

BIG SUNGLASSES: Really?!

NEON: Fair ’nuff I s’pose.

JEGGINGS: You have a problem with really, really tight pants on a girl?? Riiiiiight.

ANYTHING RIHANNA WEARS: It would appear that she’s not ‘feminine’ enough and looks like she’d be super hard work. You bleedin’ WISH in fairness!!!

LEG WARMERS: Understandable.

I think I mentioned before that my brother hates pointy shoes and long/painted nails. Is there anything that your other half/male friends hate that we all seem to love? And would the fact that your fella hates something deter you from wearing it? I know we’re all quick to say “Hell no! I dress for me!” …but I’m going away with himself this weekend and I have to tell you, the chances of a maxi being packed in the case have just seriously decreased …by about 100% say?!

O to the M to the FG…guess who’s gonna be on the Orange Carpet tonight at The Meteor Music Awards?? Yeah we did!!! Now, when I say ON, I mean we’ll be the ones sticking a mic in people’s faces asking them all sorts of fascinating questions that will make them want to skip the event and stay there and chat to us…natch! It’s set to be all star-studded ‘n’ stuff…we’re talking Dizzee, Florence, Snow……Patrol (yeah that doesn’t work when you shorten it).

 We’ll also be on Spin 103.8 on Saturday telling the lovely Michelle Beaty on Plan B about the goings-on and what everyone was wearing on their persons. So tune in for that from about midday onwards.

I recently wore a pair of wide leg tuxedo trousers to an event…when i looked back on the photos I was a bit dubious about them - yes they do make you look extra, extraaa tall, but they also make you look wider than you are… See Amber Valetta above, she’s a tiny thing obviously, what with being a supermodel and all that jazzle, but they’re not exaaactly the most flattering things, AND you can’t see her feet, which always reminds me of Coleen Rooney for some reason.

Diane Kruger - not a flattering shape…and where did those boobs come from?

Alexa Chung - can do no wrung…in my book anyway-un. 

Agyness Deyn : ANY other t-shirt, I would have been happy, but this looks to new and fresh. 

Olivia Palermo : I usually like her style, but this Kate Moss for TS dress does nothing for her. 

Lindsay got new lips and a bit of botox to help her look even healthier. Wow.  The outfit is the wrong side of trashy. 

Emmanuelle Criqui : Some people can wear all the right stuff, and it just looks wrong on them, too done, too perfect. I think Emmanuelle, as gorgeous as she is, needs to be a little rougher around the edges. Different skirt maybe, for a start.

Mischa was released from her 5150, which is where the po-po say you’re too crazy in the nut to be left out and about amongst the old people and chirrun, so they lock you up for everyone’s safety. Britney was 5150′d. Case in point. 

Anyway, Mischa is out, unrecongnisable and getting back to work…yes, she’s working on some undoubtedly crap show with Ashton Kutcher about models, and hitting the party circuit in dresses that dazzle and tickle the elegant senses.

We have to stop rating or slating Rhiananaanna but the lady is just all over the place in all of the best stuff - so it’s hard to not fall under her spell of Publicity Through Clothing. 

I am loving this look, the hair makes her look a little tiny-headed, but the dress and shoes are impeccable. I need them both. She better bloody send them straight over to me or I’ll be forced to open a can of whup ass…oh wait…too soon?

I would LOVE this outfit in all it’s entirety if she’d left the Jessica Simpson-style unnecessary big ass bag accessory at home. The bag IS beautiful, but is just the tipping point in to all too much for me. I know a way she can get rid of it…! Send it to me! Simples.
