I’ve discovered a passion for hotel toast. Nothing tastes as good as the toast you get with your breakfast in a hotel. It’s all chewy and lovely. Fact.

I know people who will only eat burnt toast, or cold toast. I know people who literally put about fourteen tonnes of butter on their toast, and then there’s people that take no butter, only jam.

So - random share time - how do you take your toast, and if it wasn’t bad for you, how many slices of toast do you think you could eat in a day. I reckon I’d easily put away 32.

I’m with you on the chewy toast thing, love it. We used to get it for brekkie in school, think it’s something to do with mass produced toast, it must be done in a particular way! If I were to choose a toast up there it would be the 1.15 min toast! Could easily eat 4 slices of toast in a sitting :-)

I’m a 1min girl, unless I forget about it :) I eat feck all toast since I bought the house cause a slice pan always goes wasted (that and spuds), but if I was gonna have a slice now I’d take it with real butter yum yum or a bit of chocolate spread :)

In a dream world, I’d have four slices of toast with melty kerrygold for butter. Then toasted cheese for my lunch. Then toast and scrambled eggs for my tea. Then fried eggs, beans and toast for my supper. Then some toast for dessert. Has to be Kerrygold or go home.

Does anyone else find it incredibly traumatic when you stay at someones house and they make you toast for breakfast and they ask you if you want butter and you say yes and then they hand you a tub of flora (or another equally disgusting calorie deficient spread made with melted plastic or whatever they put in it). I’m close to tears now just thinking about it!

hahahaha! and Leah you’ll be happy to know thats its now been proven that those ”healthy spreads” are about as nutritious as eating a pair of shoe laces!! so LOB on the real butter!!

I just had some soda bread and marmalade….wasnt the same

TOTALLY Leah! Butter’s not butter unless it’s butter…

Calling a spread ‘butter’ is not grand - L is it you that’s the fan of things that are not grand?

Defintely “not grand”. Sinead if it was a choice between toast with flora or toast with shoelaces I’d go for the shoelaces. Toast to me is just an excuse to eat butter. That is toasts purpose.

Again Leah totally!!! Toast is merely a conduit for the butter….AND butter ads are way cooler than margarine ads, anyone remember this?

YES LEAH! I hate that, hate. And another thing - it never melts properly, so it’s just this cold plastic rubbery slime. Give me kerrygold, or get the hell out of your own house.

I don’t like butter. Unless it’s melted, like on toast or in mash. And I can’t tell the difference between butter and spread etc.

Oops I just realised that I put 3.30 I meant 3 to 3.15 and If I cant get my hands on kerrygold then I can live with the dairygold

Oh yeah Leah, definitely. Especially with some mayonnaise and a chopped up boiled egg covered in salt and pepper. Yum. Oh and it has to be rock salt and ground pepper. I’m swanky like that.

I’m a 2.0 girl I think. I like a tiny bit o’ the burnt. I also like low-low and flora and things, only because we never have real butter in our gaff. I really want toast now. But I can’t eat it with my dodgy throat boo hoo hoo! That is most definately NOT grand!

I hate McCambridge’s bread, am I alone in this?! Yucky, dried out, processed stuff! I actually have to hang my head in shame and say I always eat Flora, I don’t particularly love it but I’ve got used to it, like the way you get used to skimmed milk! But butter will always be closest to my heart
